Where’s the lock to the red door?

In this new chapter of "Rebecca", Mazzy goes deeper into the past to explore and confess the patterns of coming out of the closet as a teen into a world that doesn't always understand

Whereas the debut "Rebecca" explored an external and internal dissention, "The Red Door" is an actualization and an inflection point: understanding the past to inform moving forward and overcoming the entrapment of oppression, as well as overcoming the void of a deadlocked victimhood

"The Red Door" as a horror trope and a symbol of repression, secrets, and fear deal with queerness as an idea of rehearsing for a play, an older man Mazzy became infatuated with as a teen, Mazzy's mom's ex-boyfriend, trauma bonding, cyclical patterns of hurt and anger, and illumination through togetherness and solidarity

In navigating an escape point, "Rebecca & The Red Door" becomes a self-aware journey through the past, the rolling hills of Kansas, the
backroads of Missouri and the lakes of Wisconsin
